Four separate areas of study make up a full CompTIA A+; you're considered competent at A+ once you've passed your exams for 2 out of 4 subjects. For this reason, most colleges only have two of the courses on their syllabus. The truth is you will need the training for all four areas as many positions will be looking for the skills and knowledge of all four areas. You don't have to qualify in them all, but it seems common sense that you learn about all four.

If your dream is to become a great web designer with the right credentials for the current working environment, the course you need is Adobe Dreamweaver. For applications done commercially you'll need a full understanding of the entire Adobe Web Creative Suite. This means also (but isn't limited to) Action Script and Flash. Should you desire to become an Adobe Certified Expert or Adobe Certified Professional (ACE or ACP) these skills will be absolutely essential.

Nearly all aspiring web designers start their careers with Adobe Dreamweaver training. It's reputed to be the most used web-development environment in the world. It's also recommended that students get an in-depth understanding of the full Adobe Web Creative Suite, which includes Flash and Action Script, to be able to take advantage of Dreamweaver professionally as a web designer. These skills can mean later becoming an Adobe Certified Expert or Adobe Certified Professional (ACE or ACP).
